About
The Europe Challenge is an annual programme that brings together libraries and communities to address Europe's key transitions—social, digital, and green—by implementing creative solutions in their local areas. The programme was first launched in 2020 by the European Cultural Foundation and partners.
Libraries and communities apply to the programme via an annual open call. The programme offers them:
A series of online and in-person workshops and mentoring sessions
Funding of up to EUR 10.000 (optional)
Additional peer-to-peer exchange opportunities, networking and travel
The Europe Challenge 2025/26 open call for applications is open until Thursday 29 May 2025, 15.00 CEST. Please check out this news item for more information about the open call.
