The Europe Challenge

Get ready to dive into practical, hands-on learning tailored to the real challenges you face in your projects! Starting in January 2026, four KnowHow labs – online interactive sessions – will explore priority topics chosen by you and your fellow participants. Each Challenge team is expected to attend at least two KnowHow labs.

This lab takes place on 21 January, 11:00-12:30 CET., and it explores what mindful leadership looks like in everyday work and how to manage a team with care and clarity. We focus on practical models of leadership and easy-to-use tools for creating a shared vision for your project. Care is especially important for organisations like libraries and community groups. It grows from trust, open communication, and healthy working relationships. In this Know-How Lab, we will look at real case studies that show how good leadership directly supports the success of a project.

Participants will learn how to motivate their team and their wider community, how to foster collaboration, and how to look after and nurture both people and projects for long-term impact.

We will also be joined by Dorota Kostowska, who will be capturing the session through graphic storytelling. We will share her visual notes with you after the lab.

Dear all,

It was truly so good to see you at our first KnowHow Lab on Leadership with Care. Thank you for showing up so openly and for your thoughtful, active participation — the conversation was richer because of you.

Together with our guest speaker, Hannah Fox, we have prepared some resources for you. Their purpose is to help you look back at what we discussed and to support you in sharing any of these ideas, tools, or reflections with your teams.
