Get ready to dive into practical, hands-on learning tailored to the real challenges you face in your projects! Starting in January 2026, four KnowHow labs – online interactive sessions – will explore priority topics chosen by you and your fellow participants. Each Challenge team is expected to attend at least two KnowHow labs.
Description of KnowHow Lab #2 | Think like Generation Alpha
Learn how libraries can use social media creatively and strategically to share their message, connect with younger generations, and bring a sense of fun and vibrancy to their work.
This workshop explores how libraries and community projects can transform their everyday activities into engaging digital stories that resonate online. Participants will discover how to craft clear and authentic messages that reflect their values, highlight their real impact, and build trust with their communities.
We will look at how platforms such as Instagram and TikTok can help libraries reach and inspire younger audiences in ways that feel natural and relevant. The session focuses on creating content that feels human, playful, and relatable, while still communicating purpose and social value.

- Ruxandra Gidei, Coordinator The Europe Challenge at the European Cultural Foundation
We will also be joined by Dorota Kostowska, who will be capturing the session through graphic storytelling. We will share her visual notes with you after the lab.
