New Opportunities by Europeana | Climate Action Award & Writing Workshop
The first Europeana Creative Climate Action Award is now open for entries. Our partners at Europeana are looking for up to 500 words of creative writing, fiction or poetry inspired by one or more of the images in the Europeana Creative Climate Action Award gallery.
Up to ten winning entries will be published in a special Europeana exhibition in the spring of 2026 and celebrated at the Digital Storytelling Festival in May 2026. In addition, the first-placed writer will receive one year’s ‘gold’ membership to Writers’ HQ, giving them access to every event, course and tool Writers’ HQ provides!
You are also welcome to join the associated Europeana Writers’ Room free online workshop, happening on 3 December, 15:00-16:00 CET, which takes climate action as its theme and uses inspiring writing prompts based on cultural heritage from Europeana.eu.
