How Beehives in the Library Changed a Community in Spain
In Sant Boi de Llobregat, beekeeping is helping a community create a new vision for their city, by championing the environment and biodiversity.
Located less than 15 kilometres from Barcelona’s busy international airport, the library – participant in The Europe Challenge 2021 – wanted to improve the quality of life in the town. The Challenge team started at the library Jordi Rubió i Balaguer by installing beehives as part of an exploration of different elements of the urban environment.
